Purchased in Oct of 2011. Our goal is to improve the pasture through holistic rotation. It is a little 10 acre farm in permanent pasture that is irrigated from a ditch. This picture was taken in Oct. of 11. Previous to our purchase the fields were being grazed by horses. You can see there is a lot of bare ground in the field.
One of our goals is to have plush green pasture. The soil needs improvement, its nice, but having horses grazing created some bare spots and too many weeds came back through near the drinker/barn.
